I have been shooting photographs for over twenty five years. During this time, my camera joined me on many adventures. I studied fine arts with a concentration in photography in college and eventually finished my higher education when I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work. My camera has and continues to accompany me thoroughout my most exciting adventure as the mother of three children.

My pursuit of a fine arts degree, my work within child welfare, and my role as a mother informs my work as a photographer. I am at ease with children and families. I appreciate and celebrate the unique ways in which people connect to one another - whether it is a bride with her spouse, a child with his/her sibling, parents with their children, or a person within a community of family and friends at a celebration. This is evidenced in my photographs. My clients appreciate the ease and comfort they feel during a sitting or during the coverage of a family’s momentous event. My comfort with families and children make a portrait sitting fun for all, which is ultimately beautifully reflected in the photos. My unobtrusive photojournalistic style for weddings and family celebrations, allows me to blend into the background in order to catch those important, unplanned moments that make each wedding or family gathering unique and special for each couple and family.

Most importantly I love to work with and photograph people. Capturing the spirit of an individual or the connectedness and joy among loved ones, family and friends is what makes a photograph truly beautiful.
